boring and be ready to check out? All your friends and family would probably be gone.

Some people have some pretty good genes, others don't. I only have 5 people left in my immediate family and no grandkids. Lots of friends died young too.

I don't know why you would think all family would be gone...it would seem to me by that point there would be tons of great grandbabies thriving! But for me, I would expect I'll be really tired by then and a great, peaceful long sleep will be the reward for a life well lived.

Well to me life is NEVER boring, I mean I will even read a magazine while waiting in line or something. I would not want to live that long unless I was very healthy. Which I am not so I hope I don't live to the age of 90's. I will feel blessed to get a good 15 or 20 more good years!! My Aunt Anna lived to be 99.98%..she died a few hours before her 100th birthday. She was very funny, uplifting person, she was so amazing and had so much family and we all loved her and visited her. But really at 94 she told me that she just really was ready to go. Now this is a sharp lady who had all her faculties as she was nearing death. She lost her husband some some 30 years before and she missed him. She loved the Lord big time too. I know she is fine, but I miss her too much. I always thought that I would live to be that old and work in my garden and just be content, but since getting chronically sick...I don't think that is me or if it is it is me a lot younger than I thought I would be.

If my body keeps deteriorating at it's present rate, I should be hell on wheels when I'm in my 90's! I'll need a supercharged electric chair with a soundsystem that will blast out the tunes of the Beasty Boys, the Violent Femmes, the Clash, James Brown, & oh so many more crude artistic sounds that I enjoy! I love House Music, Tribal, Drum & Bass & I am gonna make some noise just to amuse the remaining victims of this planet we call Earth. I want a flame thrower so I can really burn people who try to assault me! The older I get the bigger target I become. I wanna even that score & take down the baddies of this earth. I'll never be a grand parent & that's ok. One less person to worry about in this crazy place. It should be a fun ride, that's 4 sure!

I saw a programme on TV last night about the "Oldest Drivers in the UK". All in their 90's, all very chirpy and appearing to be extremely happy. One guy was still driving a racing car. Life is what you make it - you only get bored if you are boring. I may well want to check out early....but that will be because of ill health, not any particular age.

My best friend is 93, and I am 53. He is blessed with good genes, an active and alert mind, and physical health -- of course he has led a healthy lifestyle through the years (non-smoker, vegetarian). His wife died before he was fifty years old. He has a full-time medical practice, and works 12 to 16 hours daily, enjoying serving his fellow man. He states that, in addition to wonderful genes, interacting with young people keeps him young. He is deeply involved in his family's life -- even in the lives of his great-grandchildren. He keeps up on world events, reads insatiably, and has interests that span a wide variety of subjects. He is one of the brightest and most fascinating people I have ever known. He loves life and makes new friends everywhere he goes. He is deeply loved, respected, and admired in our community -- and beyond.
I think that age and boredom are states of mind. The critical factor in maintaining a will to live is whether one's mental and physical health endure.

I hope not to ever find life boring even at 90. But I do know some older people who are lonely so if you are physically able, volunteer, try a new hobby, get a pen pal, make new friends. Wish you health and happiness.

When you ask this I'm assuming that you mean still somewhat able to get around ...well years ago I would have said no but then after meeting my husbands grandmother it would be a definate yes. She just always amazes me and my kids have more respect for her than any other human and they love saying that Mema was born before the Titanic went down"...yes yes yes if I could be 1/4 of the woman she is.

My mother-in-law lived to be 104. With a sound mind, loved people and traveling. Age is just a number. One makes new friends and if longevity runs in a family. Not everyone is dead. All eleven of her children were still here, not counting everyone else.

At the rate Iam going now and only 55 then I think I will be very tired by that time.

My grandchildren would be grown and hopefully happy, if that were the case then I would go ahead and check out.
