I felt that way about a person for a long time in my life. Then I realized that they had forgotten all about me, and I was still thinking about them! In a sense, I was the one imprisioned, in hatred, regret, and bad memories. I let it go over time with lots of help, and live a very happy life today.
I think for that person, just to see me happy and carrying on is punishment enough for them.

you should do what is right since the behavior will continue and you should not use the situation as a leverage over that person as in he did this to me now I am going to report him; if he or she has done something that could land the person in jail just do it; otherwise you will feel responsible for whatever else he does since you did not stop him. Remember Spider-man when Peter could have stopped the bad guy and he did not the action for not taking action by Peter ended in death.

Yes! My sister was the executix of our father's estate. From the time we were children, our parents were very specific about their wishes for when they passed on. Above all they wanted no arguing amongst us kids. Unfortunatly the company that drew up my dad's trust and will documents was not very good, and left huge loopholes, which my sister took full advantage of. She stole from her siblings and their offspring. Worst of all she ignored our parents wishes, just so she could gain in a monetary way. When we started checking, it seems she may have been physically and emotionally abusive to him in his final years. If I could I'd watch her rot in hell, but I'd settle for a long prison term, and public humiliation of having to admit what she did.

Yes! Much worse than imprisoned, but not something forever like death. I would never personally harm anyone, but sometimes wishes do come true.... I hope the trashy little skank pays for her poor choices.

Yes...if I had the chance to whoop his a$s, I would. He did nothing but cheat on me, lie to me, and mentally, emotionally and physically abuse me for years. I would say he was asking for it....
