Well you pay a pro to shoot like 500 shots a day, and record what he felt was the most useful knowledge. Have him keep a basketball dairy.

practice perfect form without a ball
work out your arms and practice jumping with a jumprope or something to increase your skill in jumpshots.
Watch Bruce Bowen or Manu Ginobili shoot threes on tv..Bruce Bowen especially is really excellent at those three point shots from the side.I recommend watching how Ginobili squeezes in between defense and manages to shoot too.Tony Parker isn't a good shooter from the outside near the three point line but he's getting better and so can you

There is no way you can practice shooting without actually shooting. If your dedicated to basketball you would get a gym membership and shoot 100-200 jump shots a day.

You can't avoid basketball and expect to get better. Gotta pick up a basketball and invest some time shooting from all spots on the floor. For all those who gave you theories..the basketball is shaking their heads.
