Love Fiona. Fiona Jean Sands sounds great, too. I don't think anyone would call her Fi or Fifi- unless you or her wanted people to call her that. Otherwise, those nicknames probably won't even cross most peoples' minds.

Gorgeous and spunky! Love Fiona Jean! And if I remember correctly, it was definitely the best-sounding option with your surname, Sands. ;)
I actually know a little Fiona -- about two years old (and adorable!) -- called Fi (fee), and I've never heard anyone use puppyish "Fifi" on her. ;) Just Fi, or Fiona in full. And it totally works on her. Sweet and spunky -- the name and the child.
Another option is Fion(n)/Finn, especially if she ends up being a bit of a tomboy. ;) Sort of akin to Sam or Alex for Samantha or Alexandra. Not for everyone, but I've heard it used for Fiona, Finola, Finella, etc. and it always seemed an intriguing option to me.
Love Fiona, in full, however. Great name, all around. ;)

Oh, Fiona... I LOVE that! I think it sounds a bit exotic, but not overly sexy. I think it sounds feminine, sweet, and everything a girl is supposed to be. I also like how it will transition into adulthood nicely. You know what I mean. Some names are great for kids but as adults they sound odd. In my opinion, you've made a great choice and Fiona Jean flows well.

I like the name Fiona, though it's getting too popular. Jean is a very dull middle name, but it's one syllable so it sounds good, in that respect, with the name.
I think nicknames suck, so if a child is named Fiona, I expect them to be called Fiona.
Did you ever consider the name Finola instead?

I like the name Fiona very much! The whole name flows well together and the initials don't spell anything so that is good, all around I like it!
