i dont have in-laws both deceased sorry, but i have a wonderful mum which we visit, and stay with christmas day, overnight, i cook the dinner otherwise she would be alone and at 81, thats not good.
you should forget likes dislikes in people at christmas, its a time of renewal forgiveness, of each other a time of sharing, family values, having fun, with other,.

Because of the distance between the two sets of parents, we see one lot on Christmas Day and the other on Boxing Day (the day after), otherwise we would spend 6 - 7 hours in the car!. We have done this for over 20 years, and it works for us.

we nomally go vacation for christmas holidays.. not with in -laws.. only our family.... this year we are going to ski trip.. last yr we went to criuse.. so much fun....lol
