I recently purchased land next to my property. Both lots have their own parcel number; I would like to combine both parcels into one.
I guess my questions would be:
What form(s) from the county auditor do I need to ask for?
How do I go about getting the properties combined?
Do I need to have a surveyor come out first?

When you purchased the adjacent parcel, did you purchase title insurance? If so, you should have received an owner's policy. Contact the title agent who issued the policy. They should be able to handle everything for you. Every state/county has different requirements. You will need a survey, and the county engineer will need to review and approve combination of the parcels. Your title agent will know exactly what procedure to follow.

You might not be able to combine both properties as the parcel numbers are also used for property tax purposes. If you want to build and use both properties, then on your document it would read both parcel numbers and also record that way.

Best thing to do is check with your state.

I combined two adjacent lots to my homestead 10 years ago and now I need to sell one lot. Will it be possible to do this?

You will need a new property line created by a surveyor.
OR just don't receive mail to one parcel.
Think about resale also when you realign your property.
