To be honest and a bit thick did not even know there were stars until joined the RTV crowed.
If I ask a question and then pick best answer no it does not infuence me at all as the one that i feel answered ok and properly gets the points.
I also forget half the time to give a star lol and if asked a question one of my contacts will know the answer to and I do not they get a star for that not because it is a good question but they need help.
Have a star Bex for making my morning fun packed and mail box full you lot must work into the night lol

I agree with Hello World: I typically don't look at whose given me a star but I do notice when the same people (my contacts and fans) show up in my questions. There's a reason that this group of people have found one another: something about the way each of us answers questions seems to work for another of us, so it's frequently the case that a contact ends up getting the best answer nod because we've already done a bit of "natural" selection. I don't do it on purpose - it really just happens.

I don't typically pay attention to who gives my questions stars. I guess that would be a good way to break a tie, if you felt 2 or more answers were equally good. I generally give stars to questions that I think my contacts might find interesting so that they can considering posting an answer, too.

I think I pay less attention to the stars than I used to before the new format came in. I used to check all the time to see who had starred....but now I find I am not doing that as much. But I have a great group of contacts and fans who often leave stars on my questions.

I wouldn't take that into consideration too much lol I agree wih Whipass,I think some do it and leave a note to get best answer partly because of it(the star) lol.

No never considered it. I just go with the the answer that makes me giggle most or if it's a serious question then the most genuine answer.

No Bex because it is the answer that counts and I know sometimes I forget to star so wouldn't penalise anyone for that xx

While I appreciate the thought behind the stars it's the answers that are important.
