how do I re-install internet explorer I have hp windowsXP

If version 6, go to Control Panel
Click on Add or Remove Programs icon
When it opens, click on Add Windows Components on the left
You will find a check box to add/remove IE 6
Remove it
Reboot
Then go back and readd it

Dewcoons has the correct answer as do the others w/ firefox, but you still need to re-install IE as no other browser can get to the Win/MS update sites. I also have Mozilla Firefox installed though. Through Add-Remove Programs>MS IE 6.0 or 7.0>remove>repair. If that doesn't work, go here and download IE7 from MS and install it. Then after the restart, go get CCleaner.exe and clean up the mess then restart again. Then go to Win/MS Updates and get everything there, then clean up again w/ CCleaner.

if u have Firefox then go to internet explorer.com and download or ask a frend or cousin 2 put one a usb drive an load it 2 your pc

I would simply install Firefox 2.0, it's a better browser and attracts less spyware!
