Keep your head down and lean forward while your running. Trust me, it works. When I was your age I ran the 40 in about 4.9.

You can get far enough if you do EXACTLY this. I DID THIS AND IT WORKS. Every day for three weeks you need to go outside and jog. ai would start at 12 minutes a day. You need to make sure you stretch very well before you do this. When the second week comes, run every day for 14 minutes and when the third comes 16 minutes. Every day after you are done running, walk for about 5 minutes to cool down. Then run 50 yard sprints. Four a day for week 1, 6 for week 2, and 8 for week three. After your sprints it is VERY IMPORTANT that you stretch even better than your pre-jog strectch. Throughout the three weeks drink only water and possibly milk or oj in the morning. THIS WILL WORK. Ive done it myself.

Start out stretching every day don't over do it stretch just enough to feel your muscles pulling but not to the point of where it hurts each week you should be able to stretch further. plysometrics work good as well. Practice back peddling and practice making your turns starting with your hips. If your feet are spread to far apart when you are back peddling you will get caught flat footed so practice back peddling running backwards on your toes. Last watch the receivers hips which ever way he turns his hips will turn first that way you still have your eyes on him and the direction the route is going.

wow you are very slow in the 40 time. When I played most good athletes on the team ran under 5.0. You might wanna switch to lineman. lol. jk. As long as you are quick and have good acceleration within 15 or so yards you should be fine at corner. along with smarts and toughness of course.

to things...running the forty isnt the answer...to play corner is not doing a forty yard dash once and then sit down..u need stability..and endurance..u need to run for distance..the problem with most young cbs is they burn out early ....run for long distances bro and time yourself and push yourself hard to beat that time everyday...second work on your technique..to many guys rely on jamming the reciever at the line to keep up..practice coming out of your crouch and do alot of backpedaling and backpedal as fast as u can for as long as u can..builds leg strength.....run with weights...that help me alot...

Wow. You need to lift explosively and run downhill to get that 40 down. And maybe think about moving to safety if you can't.

well you need to work on your calf muscles. They provide that explosion you need to get a good time. I was running a 4.6 at 15 and i played corner. Remember that speed isnt everything though. Good play and being a physical corner can help alot.

It sounds kind of weird, but I know someone who can run in about 4.9, they said they just kind oj bounce when they take a step, sounds weird, I know...
Also look at the post above, leaning foward might help, but when you are covering a receiver you cant have your head down.

My advise is to try to run on your toes, it gives u better speed than running on your straight foot
