It depends if they are both consenting to be married or not. If they are consenting to do something else, then they may not be consensually willing to marry for it. One may, but it takes two unless you are in a country where there are arranged marriages, then maybe one and the other's father might need to be consenting.
Big brother? Marriage has always been controlled by the government as long as the government can get money out of it both when the marriage is made and, later, if the marriage dissolves. It also make inheritance issues more predictable as well.
Myself, I would rather settle down with a large grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of tomato soup with oyster crackers.

Do you mean if a man can marry another man?If that Pandora's box is opened, and homosexual marriage is allowed. What's to stop someone from challenging that new law. After all new law's do get challenged.By saying "Well if they let men marry men legally. Why, can't I marry my pet I love my dog/cat?" I mean think it out N.a.m.b.l.a would definitely push the envelope.Don't think they wouldn't.Then you'll have other fringe groups step it up also.I mean Mohammad then married a six year old(The Prophet of God-look it up) whats to stop that from happening.
Why not wait till all us Christians are Raptured then those that want to do all that pleases the flesh can give in to it all.

I think the government should not be allowed to issue a license to get married.
By definition a license is legalizing something that would be illegal without it.
so the government says it is Illegal for someone to get married with out a license.
I believe that marriage is a sacrament from God and if God says I can be married why should the government need me to pay them.
If someone wants to be married and wants there bartender to marry them and they don't want to do any paperwork, I don't care it should be none of the governments business.
What I don't like is that they made a sacrament a legal institution and then they bastardized it and put your life and assets in the hands of a government judge.

at the beginning, i'm a female sort guy or woman. 2d, what non-contributors of our church do is NONE of our church's business enterprise. the individuals of California have been asked to bypass to the polls and voice their critiques, and the final public of them reported, no to gay marriage. not something approximately "hermaphrodites" or something like that. 0.33, IF there are any "hermaphrodites" in our church, and that they've faith our doctrines, they are going to decide to chat to their bishop approximately such issues. What finally happens with gay marriage or civil unions or family members partnerships, that is not in basic terms the Mormons who had their say, it exchange into the Catholics and the evangelicals, and definite, even some GAYS voted FOR prop 8 in California. i don't probable have any concern with what people do interior the privateness of their residences, and in the event that they desire some form of criminal potential of union, they are going to hit upon a manner. Love constantly does. i don't understand why people get their knickers in certainly one of those twist approximately such stuff. that is none of their business enterprise what Mormons do and don't. If there's a "hermaphrodite" who has a concern with what our church teaches and believes, they the two do not connect, or in the event that they seem to be a member, they leave.

Well not if the liberals in the Blue States have any say about it.
Since the citizens in every Blue State, have passed laws banning gay marriage.
Yes, the courts over turned laws passed by the citizens in Mass and Maryland.
The citizens didn't change thier law.

State sanctioned marriage is another name for discrimination. The state gives preference to those that are married, over couples that are not. Gay couples, receive no recognition at all. Straight couples that have been living together for years, in some cases longer than married ones are penalized. It's not fair and it needs to end yesterday. The institution needs to be abolished by the state. What two people decide to do together is their business. Big brother needs to get his hands out of this game, and our bedrooms. Nuff said.
