Well, that's kind of a trick question. There are several supplements that are good for eye health, but no supplement can prevent someone from needing glasses for example. "Poor vision" that needs glasses is a physical problem, not a chemical problem that a supplement could affect, unfortunately.
As far as eye health, Bilberry, Lutein, Zeaxanthin, Eyebright, Vitamin A (Beta Carotene), and most other antioxidants are good for eye health.
As part of vision health, they can help your eyes stay healthy and possibly keep your vision from declining more than it may have already.
On the flip side, if your vision has declined because your eyes are undernourished (tired, etc), then any of those supplements can help by nourishing your eyes. Try some out and see how it goes. Good luck!

Lutein shows the most promise. New Chapter makes a good eye-defense supplement, and there are others (at health food stores). Also, stay out of the sun w/o sunglasses or a large brimmed hat (which advice I don't take), and use natural tears if you take any drugs that give you dry eye.
