had he not suffered all the injuries he suffered after his move to cincinati, hed have been probably the best player period over the last 20 years, maybe more
i think that, had he stayed healthy, it would have been griffey breaking ruth and aaron, and people would have loved it, cause there is one very very class act
i dont think anybody, unless they are just trying to be difficult, can say anything bad about griffey, and this coming from a fan of a team griffey used to kill when he was in seattle
the power, speed, contact, defense that guy showed for the first part of his career is unrivaled, at least in the modern era
bonds never had anything on griffey, even when the two were in their prime, grif was way better, i also dont think arod is as good as grif in his prime

This report brought out the players that bought drugs from 3 trainers. That was it. 3 trainers. With the lack of adequate testing, everyone doing it, and Griffey's numerous season ending injuries, why WOULDN'T he do it?
He was the star of the league until he kept getting hurt. It is hard to be the poster boy and then end up as a disappointment. I would think that with those injuries, Griffey would want to take HGH to heal and get back to baseball and try to become on top again.
Sorry. If a little nice guy like Brian Roberts used, then I am guessing there is a high chance the oft injured Griffey was using.

I might ought to disagree with you. Even when he was in his prime, Willie Mays (the man or woman who Griffey was once most usually in comparison with, paradoxically) used to be nonetheless higher than Griffey. Proper, Mays didn't quite put up the stats of Griffey. But, Mays had to play half his video games on the Polo Grounds, which used to be in actual fact a nightmare for hitters. He additionally needed to patrol that giant center subject subject. If Mays would have performed at a extra hitter-friendly ballpark, even the Kingdome, he would regularly have surpassed Griffey's numbers. Mays used to be additionally higher defensively- you under no circumstances see many spotlight reel catches of Mays (rather than his most noted capture) because Mays used to be continuously within the proper function to make the play and as a result, he not often needed to dive or soar to make the catch. Griffey in his high, in my opinion, was once the second excellent all-around baseball player ever, however Mays used to be higher.

How do you know he was clean?
The reason Mitchell didn't want the players on the list diciplined is because he knows it is not nearly complete.
There could be a couple hundred more players on a more complete list and Griffey could be one of them.

No. He's been injured for almost a third of that time. Arod has been better for one. Manny, Ortiz to name a couple more. Injuries hurt Griffey. Too bad. That's what kept Don Mattingly out of the HOF. It happens.

No sir. That would be Alex Rodriguez. I believe that has already been proven. The records speak the truth. Youngest player to reach 500 homeruns. Next stop - Babe Ruth's record. After that Hank Aaron's - the REAL record.

Shame...if Griffey hadn't gotten hurt we'd be talking about him being the best player of this generation and probably close to Aaron's or Bonds' HR mark.

I think so, what a beautiful swing he has and before he went to the Reds and was mishandled by their team doctor was one of the best defensive players in baseball.
