Chipper is definatley a Hall of Famer. And his stats DO back it up. He is still as good as he was in his prime-he set a career high in doubles with 42. He has averaged 33 home runs a season (386 career) and may have 3-5 years left until he retires. If he keeps his pace, he can hit around 450 home runs, and maybe 500. With a .307 career batting average, those numbers could be compared to one of the best third basemen of all time-Mike Scmidt. He averages 111 runs and 111 RBI's a season. 5 All Star apperances, a World Series win, an MVP season, and he set a career high in batting average with .337 at 35 years old. Plus, there is no controversey on him in steroids. He is a excellent player, maybe better than Scmidt himself, and he is a surefire Hall of Famer, even if he retires right now. The only downside to him maybe is that he has never won a Gold Glove.

Chipper isn't even a question on whether or not he will get in. He has a great glove at 3rd base, switch hits, and consistently has great numbers ever year. If Mike Schmidt with his .267 career average and 500+ HRs is in the hall of fame, why can't Chipper?

Not if he doesn't get close to 500 homers or 3,000 hits. He'll probably win up with 450 homers and 2,500 hits and he won't get in on his first ballot but he'll be a HOFer one day. Being a switch hitter is the one thing that makes his case for the Hall even stronger.

yes he will be in hall someday, and you already knew the answer to this question. Chipper is going to be among the best switch hitters ever. I don't like Chipper Jones because he is a N.L east killer. and i am a Phillies fan, but i cannot deny his skill and talent as a switch hitter
boy do i wish he didn't play for the Braves..

Make that his 1-A biggest fan. Chipper is a HOF. He's the best switch hitting player ever to swing a bat. Gold gloves, All Star games, World Series champ, the face of the Braves, never cheated, unselfish. What more to say?

Absolutely! One of the top five switch hitters in major league history. Former MVP and a member of the 1995 World Champion Braves. Great 3rd baseman. He will be in Cooperstown for sure!
