I am making a movie on Windows Movie Maker, and i am getting my Music from Limewire. The movie i am working on was made to look antique, but i have to antique song, you know, when in a black and white movie, there was no sound, so they had music playing instead. If anyone even has an artist name it would be VERY helpful. Look forward to seeing it on Youtube!!

the music played during silent movies was done by a piano player in the theater. however, you can check the american film institute or maybe tcm.com. there is a competition for musicians to compose music for silents and the compositions are meant to sound authentic for the times. there may be a way to download something from these sites.

You probably want to look for Scott Joplin-like jangly piano ragtimes, that will definitely give it a a nice flavor.

Charlie Chaplin's 'Smile' - written by him and used as the theme of my favorite of his films - "Modern Times". It should be easy to find.
