Seriously, I've heard of someone who named their baby Chlamydia. They heard it in the hospital and thought it was nice!

Hahaha...nice Q! why not, most of the beautiful female names are those ending in "a"....yah, this name sure sounds nice, exotic, exquisite and very unique...wish it weren't really a disease name...it may sound like a beautiful flower too......the family of camelia, gladiola, petunia, tatiana...see? oh what a pity though!!!

The word has been so tainted that it's really hard for me to agree with you.
I really tried to not think of the disease but that word/name has been tainted. It'll never work. She'll be teased the rest of her life.

Nope that's just you.
It sounds like a disease. Probably because of the last bit of the name "mydia." How many diseases end with that?
