okay, first of all. i'm only 12 and you seriously wouldn't expect me to pay every single person who takes me somewhere in their car. i'd be like wtf if anyone would charge me like this. and i still am. all it is is that my friend's brother is an asshole who wants beer money so he scams it off of little kids. i've just been so fed up with having to pay everytime and i just wanted to check if there were any legal issues with it, so that i could make it stop THAT way. i guess not then. thanks for everyone's help anyway, although i must add that flames DO NOT help me. stfu with the flames please, they honestly don't benefit anyone (people who are merely asking a question whether its "dumb" or not.)

You're 12 and you got that kind of cash? Feel lucky. A cab would cost more. He maybe taking advantage but gas isnt free, nor is anybody elses free time. Does he drop you off then have to return to pick you up? Because if thats the case then he's traveling 32 miles not 8. Either stop worrying about it, make a better deal, or find another ride. What about mom or dad?

i might say use undemanding experience. while you're in a central authority development (ie placed up place of work) or in front of sons and daughters, i might truthfully watch the language. No, swearing isn't unlawful yet use some undemanding courtesy.

Her Brother is quite the Capitalist, if his spirit is not broken in years to come he could be quite the entrepreneur.

it might be illegal if taxi drivers are subject to local regulation in your area...I assume he doesn't have a taxi license. btw, how much would an actual taxi charge for this trip?

Yeah it's legal but you have the choice to not do it.
And don't listen to cathyyy because she's dumb. She spelled "you're" wrong. It's "you're" as in, you are, not "your". Dumb Cathyyy.

Nope, it's not illegal. And that's probably a lot cheaper than a taxi, too.
