Today, my boss asked me to do something I saw as, well, unethical. Yes, it was legal and perfectly fine for others. But it was a difficult task for me to complete, and I felt it was wrong because of my religion. What would have done?

Well for me ethics go out the window when I am trying to save somebody's life unless there is a family member there actively telling us that they do not want that procedure done. I would have told your boss the truth about how this task effects you and your ethics.

Found a way to get out of it by falling ill or finding a task that needed to given priority so someone else could do it. Or mess up the job (without coming across as too incompetent) and he wouldn't give to you to you anymore.

If you are willing to compromise your 'ethics', they are NOT your ethics. If you TRULY believe something violates your religious convictions, you would not even ASK this question.

What does your religious beliefs have to do with Ethics? Which was it, Ethics, religious beliefs, or you weren't capable?
