just a simple yes/no answer please. im doing a survey for my AP statistics class and need to create a voluntary response bias. the question is: Do you think we should further restrict the 2nd Amendment (right to bear arms)?

along with your answer please state if you ever shot any type of gun or if anyone in your family owns a gun (just to see if there is a bias).

thanks so much

No, we should NOT restrict the second amendment PERIOD. There IS a bias in the responses. As YOU stated, a 'voluntary response bias' DOES exist. I do not currently own a firearm, but I DID qualify as 'marksman' on the US Marine rifle range before being released from basic training for other reasons.

No, If the 2nd Amendment can be restricted, then what's next, 1st Amendment restrictions???
The 2nd supports the entire Bill of Rights, if it falls the rest go like domino's!!!!

I own, carry, and fire many guns, and I'm adding to the collection at every opportunity!!

I have fired many guns because my husband owns many guns. And I am definitely not for tighter restriction. One of my neighbors, many many years ago, accidentally shot his brother while they were heading out to hunt. He was killed. And even with knowing these people and that they are close friends and distant family, even they are not for tighter gun control.

No... The second amendment WAS NOT a provision to insure the right to hunt, or to defend oneselves from criminals. It was a provision to insure the people the means to defend themselves AGAINST THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT. It was a safeguard against tyranny. Therefore it follows that the right to own firearms, INCLUDING THOSE AVAILABLE TO THE MILITARY, should NOT be infringed.
And I am a gun owner...

NO, and I have never owned a gun nor fired one but I believe law-abiding citizens should be able to carry a gun if criminals can.

Seriously disliked that class and most certainly protest any move to alter the Second Amendment.
