With what was basically my safety NET (my home equity), I purchased a business opportunity. I made this purchase hopefully to better my situation - I was working 16 sometimes 18 hrs a day as a vendor. This High Class Scam (bus. opp.) has put me in a very bad situation. I had to leave my old job to run the business, but I have been loosing ~2300 per month for 7-8 months. I have been living off of credit cards. What should I do, I have a wife and two kids? Time is running out!!!

First thing, find a job right away--you need to support your family. Then check with a lawyer about your recourse, and also check with the state's business registration about the prior owner. You are headed for bankruptcy if you don't pull out of this quickly.

If it was truly a scam, and you have proof, you can sue them, or possibly have charges brought against them. I would suggest seeing an attorney and explore your options. In the meantime, you may want to consider a part-time job to help defray your losses.

I'm interested in what kind of business this is. Email me through here if you like.
