I am feeding my son similac advance but I just ran out. i don't get my WIC until Tues. I was wondering if I could just used the enfamil
Lipil until then? I have about 7 cans of that on hand currently and with the price of formula I can't afford to go buy a can right now ( no seriously I am really broke thats not an option) My son is 5 weeks old by the way.....

I'm soooooo with you on this one I called my doctor and asked the same question and it should be fine as long as its the same thing like powder or liquid. Also if you've read the back of the lable the Enfamil Lipil & Similac Advance have the same ingrediants. I switched to from Similac to Enfamil because of WIC & my 2 month old is now 13lbs so it didn't hurt him any.

Yes. Most babies tolerate formula changes without any problem. Unfortunately, there are exceptions.

Back in the days when I did my pediatric residency, we were paid $150/month. We fed our first child whatever formula we could mooch from the various formula reps who came to the hospital. She thrived. We were less lucky with our second child. Four decades later, she's still fussy.

You should be fine! he might even like it better. The only thing I would be careful about is if he as acid reflux, if he doesnt then just do the best you can! The formula's are pretty close if you look at the ingrediants anyway! take care!

My son threw up when I switched his formula....but then it may have been a milk allergy. Watch for that...then we have a friend who feeds his baby whatever/ whenever (in regards to formula) and he has no problem.

I would double check with your pediatrician. It may be okay but with a baby that young I would hate to chance it.
