Don't listen to Kurt W.--he's wrong about the subject.

In this case, the subject is "you". It is implied, not stated. The verbs are read and study. "(You) read and study." In an imperative sentence, which this is, "you" is often the subject, even though it's not seen or heard.

(You) stop that! (You) go out and bring in the mail. (You) quit jumping on the bed.

Sometimes it's more difficult to figure out as in "(You) Please, make me a cup of tea."

you subject it is a command and is understood
read verb and study is a verb
