I am going to be buying a computer tomorrow for myself, and I'm not sure where the best place is, I have info on what kinds of computers to get and what to stay away from so I'm good there, Just not sure where I should be getting it. No online stuff please, actual stores (not their websites, either.) Thanks!

I would say the best place to buy a name brand computer If you were to buy this already built and ready to go would have to be "Best Buy" or possibly even "Circuit City" . The only problem I have with these stores is the premium you are charged for there expertise and customer service that are offered when you purchase your item there. The best way to purchase a computer and save hundreds of dollars and still have the same warranty is by using a reputable online merchant, this is because the have a lot less overhead and cam pass on the saving to you on the same exact product you would find at "Best Buy" or "Circuit City"

honestly there arent very many places except online stores. You can visit Best Buy, Compusa, Circuit City, Computer renaissance, or your local area computer store.
Stay Away from HP(hewlett Packard), Compaq Presarios, Dells, but those are my opinions...
Depending on your budget, I would just do a build your own kind of computer. Instead of getting a store bought computer.

If you want to save money, go to WAL MART, but if you want a computer with good graphics and less virus vulnerability, buy an APPLE MAC which are found in Apple computers stores.

Frankly, on-line with a good system builder like CyberpowerPC is the best way to buy a computer, but if you want "store bought" go to Best Buy.

Try Office Depot, or Staples, Best Buy, or Wal-mart.

Stay away from the E-machines though. These are junk.

attempt ebay. there are various sellers there with "shops" for products and factors as nicely as new structures. maximum U.S. sellers will deliver to Canada, and a few sell from Canada, and others deliver and sell the international over. the charges and transport expenses, are aggressive with the known marketplace practices everywhere.

have you decided what you will need?
do you need an office program?
do you need a heavy duty horse?
or a light duty pony?

or are you just going to show up and take one
(and get taken?)

I would lean toward Best Buy
