My first husband and I married, had a son and then divorced when our boy was 4. We now work together every day! We never had fights about our son, no child support was involved as we both would get together and figure out what he needed and get it done. There was never any child visitation arguments, everything was always done to keep our son happy and see that even though we all couln't live in the same home together we could all stay friends and still love each other from both of our homes. So, we are not remarried (to each other) but we have managed to stay friends and start a business together in the last 25 years. Makes our son so happy to see us together and still making jokes at each other after all these years. It does happen! But you have to start out with two nice people that have good heads on their shoulders who have never had domestic violence in the home and whos main objective is to see the children safe, happy and properly cared for!

Yes I do know a couple who this has happened to. I think they were divorced for about 10 years before getting back together. It's not impossible but the chances of it happening are probably pretty slim.

This truthfully happened to my grandparents. They got married at age 18. They divorced at age 24 and then got back together at age 28.

Yes it happens often. My best guess is that 50-60% of the time they get divorced again. Usually there is a reason it didn't work the first time.

Yep. One of my high school classmate's sisters was married, hired someone to kill her husband, went to jail for trying to kill her husband (the person she hired called the cops), divorced while in jail, got back together with her ex-husband after getting out of jail, got remarried.
They've been together again now for 15 years.

Yes Bob and Charlyne Steinkamp. Charlyne divorced Bob for having an affair. God impressed upon her heart that she needed to stand for her marriage. They were remarried two years later. And they are still married 20 years later and going strong as ever...see their website...They send devotionals everyday encouraging men and women to stand for their marriage and their spouse's salvation. Check out their archives.
