during my frequent travels, I notice that the toothpaste supplied in hotels are made in China with no identifiable brand name. A check with the hotel management reveal their ignorance on the matter (or are they trying to cover up?) Are there any assurance that these toothpaste do not contain the harmful DEG substance?
How to tell if a certain toothpaste contain DEG? Could the taste, color, texture or smell of the toothpaste provide any clues?

For a lay-man it may not be possible to tell DEG in tooth-paste.
See for the ingredients, if mentioned on the tooth-paste tube, do not use it. If you are doubtful avoid using it.

Don't use it, buy your own. Didn't you see that piece on the news the other night about hotel toothpaste, and the glasses in the rooms? UGH!

bring your own toothpaste or go buy a brand you know to be safe. all a hotel cares about is saving money and filling rooms.
