so i took this theater class at the community colleadge... the teacher had some some acting he said that most of the time full time actors are jobless, you need a back up like a light technichion on a set they get PAID and you can make connections he also said most work is gonna be musical, most people start there, so youll need some singing lessons

don't listen to the people who tell you that you should have started long ago. I have a friend who didn't start acting until he was 19, and he went from ensemble to lead role in 3 years on mainstage theatre. I think you should gain more experience by auditioning for local theatres and doing some more plays and musicals first, and then after you get some good advice from doing that, and get used to how theatre life is, you can look for an agent and see what there is out there for you ! Good luck :D

I've heard of John Casablanca's, but never anything bad. I think they have put a few big names on the map, but mostly super models, I think. I do know that you shouldn't have to pay to be discovered. If your talent stands out, whether it's acting, modeling or singing, you shouldn't have to pay money if you're good...THEY should be paying you. I know they're supposed to be like "placement agencies" and they're supposed to get you work, but at what price to you or your parents? Have you tried any local theater? I have a cousin who now lives in Hollywood, aspiring for her big break. She sings really good and acts really well too. She pretty much exhausted the local playhouses doing work here and comes home from time to time to be in certain plays, but she's never paid any agency other than whatever dues you have to pay for SAG points or for membership...(but she has yet to be on the big screen). I'm just suggesting that you save your money for college or something and try your acting chops at home, your school's theater department, at whatever college you attend, if so. Best of Luck to you!

Have you given them any money yet? If so, try to get a refund. If not, you'd do well to bail out now. They are not going to move you any closer to realizing your dream. There are lots of scam artists out there who just want to milk you for as much cash as they can get.

There are no quick and easy shortcuts to an acting career. You have to start small and build up to bigger things. Act in plays at your school. Sign up for youth drama classes at any community theatres or professional theatres in your area. Look for apprentice and intern opportunities at local summer theatres. In the eyes of real show business professionals, all of that will count as real experience. When slick hustlers tell you that you've passed an audition, and then hit you up for thousands of dollars, they're selling something that gets no respect in the professional world.

They teach yu something, it's up to you to master it and get yourself a job as they won't get you one!

They will also charge you $5,000 a year for the course.

It's not necessary to pay. There are so, so, so many other things you can do to get started. http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/teen_acting.html
