We have a toy Chihuahua. And since we've had her, we've
been told that the small size like her are actually the runts of
a litter. And they shouldn't be bred because of their weak and
fragile systems. They aren't even supposed to get cold. And
they do get cold easy. That's probably where the trend to
dress them all began from. They even like to sleep next to
another warm body for warmth. They shiver and shake in
cold weather and when they get nervous or excited. The
standard Chihuahua, is two to three times larger. They don't
shiver as much. And they are usually too heavy to carry
around. Especially overweight ones. And Chi's tend to gain
weight easy too. We're having to cut out the cooked chicken
and put the girls back on dry food that they've mainly been
snacking on.
Our toy does like to be held alot. And she wants to sleep
being held too. She's so happy when she can lay on my
arm, while I try to type with one hand LOL. So I usually put
her on a chair or the couch and cover her with a couple of
warm baby blankets or a couch throw. They burrow under to
stay warm. We have to check for lumps before we sit down
in case there's a dog in that 'lump'. We have couch throws
and baby blankets on chairs and the couch. For the girls
like to change off sleeping areas during the day. Often they
just exchange with each other. Or they will sleep together for
warmth. It depends on their moods I guess.
I would say that the dogs that are carried around, aren't too
happy about it. They are insecure at times and should be
cuddled, rather than carried. I wouldn't want to be jostled
around like those girls do when just carrying them as a
fashion statement. There are cute purse like carriers too,
they can use. I wonder tho, when the dogs are no longer
of use to be seen with the starlets, and they get bored with
them, what will become of them then? They are dogs who
love to be needed and babied. They always seem to be
puppies, because they are small. And they need to be
socialized early so they won't try to bite strangers. We've
taken our two out and let them greet strangers in some
stores that allow them. And they like the adoration. But
when they get home, they are so tired. And collapse into
sleep as soon as they get in the door. LOL It's hard work
being cute, you know! LOL.

Little dogs enjoy attention, same as any other dogs. What people don't realize about the Teacup breeds, is how difficult it is to treat them if they beome ill or hurt.
People make them into living toys. Shaking is the first outward response to stress.
Chihuahuas and other tiny breeds, after the age of 3-4 become thin haired and/or toothless, because they are fed human treats and canned dog foods.
Always a good idea to get a dog that is going to weigh over 4 pounds and for goodness sake, don't buy from a petshop. If you insist on purebred, purchase from someone who breeds for show or obedience, otherwise adopt from a pound.
A lot of the tiny puppies start out in Missouri.
The Mom lives in a small dog kennel its entire life, is bred every heat, pups are not socialized or housebroken.
When the Moms are underfed or nervous, they eat the extremities of the pups.
That is why you may see a Dachshund in a pet shop with a very short tail.
Breeders are supposed to spay and find homes for females but they set them free or breed them till they die.
Breeder sells-broker -$100, Broker-Pet Corporation $200, Pet Corp.-Pet Shop $400, Pet Shop-Customer $800.

While I'm not a fan of the celebrity kids and their tiny dogs, I know that the little ones like to be up close to human flesh and beating hearts. Being in a big purse is better for the pup than getting stepped on by the paparazzi. I can't believe with the spotlight on the dummy Spears that even she would be trading in dogs. The scuzzy journals would love that story.

loose canines are often the main costly of all! Others have addressed the misnomer of "teacup", it extremely is basically a label which ability it extremely is in simple terms too small to be healthful! i understand, I rescued one some years in the past and she or he replaced into in simple terms clinically determined with encephalitis. The vet expenses good now are at approximately $2500. Are you waiting for that??? there isn't any such ingredient as a teacup or a loose canines! Do your homework. and ensure which you would be able to arise with the money for to precise shield a canines. They stay 12 to 18 years (if healthful) and fee upwards of $seven-hundred a three hundred and sixty 5 days for annual care, nutrition, and aspects. Then disaster care could be hundreds of greenbacks. Please don't get a canines which you would be able to no longer arise with the money for. Shelters are already complete of them. do no longer make a contribution to the subject.

Britney can't even take care of her kids, so you know the dogs are just for show or because her friend, Paris, has one.I have a miniature dachshund. She likes to be carried around a little, but then she wants to rip and tear. LOL

I wouldn't think so. Dogs like to run in the yard and ride in the car with their heads out the window. You can barely call those little things dogs. I sure wouldn't want to be couped up in some woman's purse.

Yes, Miss Marisol Marie is 4lbs, she is a chihuahua, very tiny. She has to be with me every single minute of the day, to the bathroom, to take a bath, sit on my lap when I am on the computer, sleep with me, watch me cook, watch TV, have a treat of whatever I am eating, kisses, kisses all day long. She is a love bug!
