y= -2/3+12/3
y=10/3=3 1/3

first, you need to find a common denominator like so:

(3)y= -2 + 4(3)
3y= -2 + 12
3y= 10 (now divide both sides by 3)

y= 10/3 or 3.33333.... hope this helps!!!
