Go straight to your dad and tell him what happened. Offer to fix it and ask him to guide you through the process. Fixing the hole is the easy part. Matching the paint could be more difficult.

Hang a poster over it or move some furniture to block the hole until things cool down with you and your mom. If the hole isn't too huge, you can putty it up with "Joint Compound" and a wide taping knife. Goop up the hole with the compound and smoothe it with the knife. Let it dry for a day, and then sand it smoothe and reapply another coat if needed, and repeat the sanding until it looks good. You'll also have to repaint the spot.
If its a big hole, don't waste your time, this wont' work, the putty will fall right into the hole, and will crack and look bad in no time at all.
You'll have to do to your dad.

The general approach is to create a backing with a chunk of stiff cardboard or corrugated cardboard with a "handle" that you can stick through the hole. The handle can be either a thin strip that you cut out and bend out before you insert it into the hole.

Have some plaster patching compound (mixed with minimal water if possible to make it thick rather than runny) ready when you stick the backing cardboard in, and while holding the backing in place, put some into the hole until it is about 1/2 to 3/4 up to the surface.

Let it harden.

Cut off the string or handle.

Mix more compound and fill in the rest of the way, and level it even with the surface, or very slightly above, depending if the wall is smooth or textured.

If it is textured, you can often mimic the texturing by dabbing it with a sponge dipped in runny compound and then strike it flat with a wide putty knife.

If it is smooth, you apply enough to bring the surface maybe 1/64th of an inch above the surrounding wall and then when it hardens, sand it flat with fine sandpaper backed with a flat block of wood that's larger than the damaged area in order to level it with the rest of the wall. Paint it and your done.

Grow up!! Tell on yourself. Offer to fix the hole, your mom will see your responsible side.

Own up to your mistake. Tell your Dad, let him fix it and take your lumps.
