My boyfriend and I had sex last night and the condom broke! We noticed right away and stopped. He hadn't ejaculated yet and everything looked fine but I know pre-ejaculate can be a concern. I am on birth control (Aviane) but this is my first month on it and I was advised to use condoms as I'm not fully protected yet. The thing is, I am on the third week of pills - I only have ONE active pill left, then the placebos. So I'm thinking 1.) I wouldn't be ovulating now if I wasn't on birth control anyways and 2.) Is my birth control now effective in the third week? I'm considering getting Emergency Contraception but I don't want to mess up my system if its not necessary. I've been having breakthrough bleeding and am worried I might miss my period just because I've had irregular bleeding all month. I don't know what to do. So what do you think? I'm expecting my period in 4 days should I just wait it out or grab plan b??

It's unlikely that you are pregnant, based on what you have stated, especially that you are expecting your period in 4 days.

There are a few things to consider
1) How old are you? Could it affect this?
2) See a doctor just to be sure about everything and what to do because the best answer you are going to get is from a doctor. The people online are just going to guess. Best advice I can give you is to see a doctor.

you should be ok if you're on birth contol, your doc always recommends being safe to cover yourself fully until you've adjusted to the extra hormones. But if you're concerned I'd take the morning after pill, better safe than sorry!

Unlikly that your pregnant, but if your having concerns..the morning after pill wont do any harm. You could also wait four days for your period...but that means if it doesnt start it's too late for a morning after pill...

Thank you for that vivid portrait of your personal life...

It's good to know you're open and honest about the intricate sordid details of the situation...

But to tell ya' the truth...

I don't think you used the word "ejaculate" enough...

I would've thrown that word in a few more times to get the full effect of your question...

LMAO...

Birth control does not protect you from STD (espically hpv) not even a condom, and the pill raises your chances of getting breast cancer about 40%

It is very unlikely that you would get pregnant from this incident but not impossible.
