Yeah, it can be a couple of things other than mental harmony though... Con artists or emotional vampires can jump on your psychic wavelength pretty quick and use the feelings of sympathy that it generates for personal gain or just the satisfaction of falsely gained confidence (and possibly making fun of you later for things that they "totally got," a few hours ago.)
I think that its great when people who feel alone and misunderstood find friendship with someone who shares their point of view, but remember, someone versed in psychological profiles knows what your going to say, because 90% of people who think like you... Think like you. And there may be a reason that you don't get into conversations with people in your same psych profile, and if you find that this experience is rare, and that oddly, the person you experience it with is in many ways different form you... You may be getting played.
I don't know about the "sweet, sweet gift" part, I think most of the pleasure of having a "sympatico" conversation is just relief from the crushing sense of isolation that life just automatically hands out as part of being an individual being... Life beats you senseless day after day, year after year... So when it stops for a minute, its probably just resting up for more abuse... Not being generous.

Yes, I have had a conversation with someone that felt like we were reading each other's mind. I don't believe that it was life's sweet gifts, but it was something special.

Yes. I love that. It's like bonding or having a soul mate. Basically just someone who gets whatever you say.
