The concept of race as understood by most people in English speaking countries is no longer accepted by many scientists and anthropologists. Firstly, the differences between so-called races are very small and superficial. Secondly, there are continua of human characteristics with no clear diving lines and neat groups. For example, if you travel from Britain to Japan and you will notice that the physical appearance of the people you meet gradually changes at no point can you say that people stop being part of one group and start being part of another. Finally, there is more genetic diversity in sub-Saharan Africa than in the rest of the world put together; although thy may look very different, and Irishman and a Pacific Islander are likely to have more genes in common than a Nigerian and a South African.

However, people still think in terms of race. If people think of those with different skin colours as being from a different race and treat them differently because of that it is racism, even if the concept of race has no scientific validity. All that matters is that the idea of race exists in the mind of the racist. For instance Hitler's hatred for Jewish people, Romany people (Gypsies) and Slavic people was racist even though most people would say that they were from the same "race" as the Germans; Hitler hated those people because he thought of them as being from different races.

According to webster;

1 : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race

2 : racial prejudice or discrimination

We may be of one species, but there are certainly different races, countries like america have many different races living together. ^_^

Unless you mean later in the future when there is so much...cross-breeding I suppose would be the word.. that we all appear to be one race, then I suppose it won't be any possible, well maybe in retrospect, but they probably won't care about that then as much.

The question was a bit confusing to me, but I Tried to answer within my abilities, hopefully I've helped =p

Your question makes a false assumption. There are scientifically measurable differences between the races. From the most obvious - skin color - down to bone density and proportions. And check this out:

“Human races are evolving away from each other,” Harpending says. “We are getting less alike, not merging into a single, mixed humanity.”
