The conception date is the date you had sex that resulted in a pregnancy.

Coception occurs within 24 hours of ovulation, since that's how long the egg is good for. So conception occurs either the day you ovulate or the next. Sperm can live for 5 days, so if you have sex a few days before ovulation, you can still get pregnant. With my first pregnancy, my husband and I had sex 4 days before I ovulated, so I got pregnant 4 or 5 days after we had sex.

Conception occurs about 2 weeks after your period starts, and is 38 weeks before your due date.

* Conception is not when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterus, that's implantation which occurs 6-10 days afterwards.

Well your EDD (estimated date of delivery) is not related to your conception date. Unfortunately it goes by adding 7 to the date of the first day of your last period. Which for some of us doesn't have jack to do with conception. Like based solely on that, my EDD would be Nov.8, which is too soon because I know I conceived Feb. 19th or 20th. It's the only time it could have happened.

Not necessarily. You can get pregnant within a three day window I do believe. I've always heard that sperm can survive for three days and thus within the three day of having sex you can get pregnant.

Problem is date of conception is a guess as well. You don't know exactly when you ovulate...most women do about the 14th day of their cycle...but always the same for everyone...

So it's just a guess more or less unless you only had sex once in a month and then you would know it was that day or the next or so.

Maybe.

You can have sex for years and not get pregnant. You can have sex for a couple of months after you are pregnant and not have twins.

Sperm can hang around for a day or two inside you. It would be possible to have sex on a Tuesday, but ovulate on a Wednesday; one of the guys hanging around the door, so to speak, finds his true love then and you get pregnant. In that case conception date would be a day after sex.

For all practical purposes, the conception date is the date that you had sex and it "took".

No...the day you have sex is not always the conception date.
Sometimes the egg is waiting around for the sperm and it could be the day of sex, but in other cases the sperm waits for the egg to come out. Conception can take anwhere from 1-6 days. Conception is when the egg attaches to the uterus.

The conception date is the day when the sperm & egg got together. It can be the day you had sex (if you've just ovulated), but sperm can live in a woman's body for up to a week, and it can take few days for the sperm to actually fertilize an egg. (If a woman has sex a few days before she ovulates, the sperm can still be alive in her body when ovulation occurs.) So it may not be.

conception date is the date the the sperm and the egg meet. When you ovulate your egg is available for sperm from 5-7 days and sperm lives in you for 3-5 days. So in that case the conception date is the date that the spern meets the egg

Conception occurs when sperm successfully enters the egg. This typically will be the same date that you had sex, unless you had sex at 11:45pm and conception occured at 12:01am the next day...
