If your talking about school shootings and such, its because they feel like they get revengs and fame at the same time. Darn media.

I think the media plays these things up, but there are a lot of desperate people out there. I'm not making excuses for people who take their rage out on others, but most of our health care plans are set up so that you can only get urgent help for the most expensive treatment. Usually by then, the damage is done and it's too late. Unless you are wealthy, it's just impossible to get emergency counseling sessions. You can go to the hospital or just freak out alone. A lot of the people waving guns around have been in poor treatment or none at all. Who can say that someone who would plan to kill people they don't even know is not insane? You don't just wake up one morning a crazed mass murderer.

I think it has to do with the size of a country, Have you noticed that the smaller the country the less crime it suffers from ? I think there is a limit up to which a state can control crime. USA = large = almost uncontrollable crime. Look at the size of Russia and the crime is suffers from. Now look at countries like Sweden, Holland, Portugal with much less crime. I have often thought about that and that is the answer I come to.
