"cops fail to stop naked frat men who 'ran fast'
los banos, laguna-picture this.
pot-bellied policemen chasing naked fraternity members on an initiation run.
this was the scene that unforlded yesterday as 10 members of the alpha phi omega(apo) fraternity made a run around the university of the philippines (uplb).
behind them were policemen in uniforms.
the run lastede only two minutes, but the image of policemen in their blure uniforms gasping for breath as they ran after the naked fraternity members was good intertainment for those who witnessed it.
messages were supposed to be painted on the bodies of the fraternity men. they were to distribute roses to women spectators along the way.
but the frat men had to forego of the messages and the roses as these would slow them down and allow the policemen to catch up.

Whoa! That must have been quite a sight. Oh the things we do to oust GMA!!! But indecency is still against the law so I guess it's just right if they get arrested...but they have to be caught first. hehehe

Oblation running in birthday suits is a traditional exercise by the UP students and is allowed in the campus. They usually do this when the students are protesting over some issues which are academic in nature. Maybe this time the University deemed it unfit hence they were not given a permit to do this traditional thing and called on the police to stop them. Anyway, it is the University's responsibility. Whether those students should be arrested or not depends on how far they exceeded their limitations or how the University sees it as something indecent and needs to punish them or sees it as an affront to GMA.

In my humble opinion, the charges should be for "possession of deadly weapon".
And the police failed to catch them not for anything else but because the "policemen" should have been "policewomen". The Police Directorate made an error in deploying operatives of the wrong gender.

it would have been really hilarious to be actually there =))
Party poopers! This is an annual event our Iska's are watching out for. With all due respect though, only in Diliman do they allow the run. In sub colleges like Iloilo, Cebu and Tacloban it is not allowed. But come to think of it, what can stop our yellow & blue friends =)

To me the "Oblation run" is just an excuse to express their sexuality and perversity..Those behind this "smart idea" is hiding behind the silly reason thats its a kind or initiation, rite of passage, or what what what..
There are many better ways and effective method of expressing an opinion or or protesting about important issues but they choose the silliest way because their minds are more occupied with lewd acts.
Look at what is happening to the country, Philippines ,overpopulated, millions of jobless people, kidnappings, rebellion..Our "supposedly would- be- leaders" are concentrating on childish things like displaying their naked butt /bodies but few on serious matters..

Its a college facility... People there are supposed to be old enough and mature enough to understand what it was all about... If done in a public area where there are kids, then that will be something against public moral and public practice and legally the cops would have the ground to arrest them...

it has been the practice of this fraternity to run naked inside the UP campus. i think there's nothing offensive in what they are trying to convey. As the saying says, "to each his own". it's one of the privileges being a democratic country, as long as you are not hurting anybody.

wow that's an interesting story!
i think that they should be arrested, but not for long, like maybe one or two days, just to learn a lesson.
