I've found the same thing just walking. In fact I noticed that the last time I was out after dark with my daughter and a car with those lights was a good 1/2 mile away, and we were still blinded!!
There must be some way to form the headlights so that most of the light rises no higher than the height of the front end of the car itself!!

I thought it was just me.
I have no problems driving at night and wear glasses that are coated (for no glare).
Is it a particular brand of bulb or car company producing these lights?
I'm guessing they are halogen! Is that correct?
Those beams are so bright that I don't have to use high beams on a dark road, when someone has them in use in the vehicle behind me.

I try to avoid driving when it's dark because of that problem. During the day, my eyesight is fine though. My mom said her night vision actually improved after cataract surgery.

Yes, if I am on a two lane road and have one car after another coming towards me with those headlights, I am blinded.

Yes. they are way to bright. Last time I got new glasses they put a coating on the lenses that helps cut down on the glare. It helps a lot, but those lights are still to bright.

I call 'em dragon eye lights! I abso lutely HATE them. They almost burn into my brain. I have cataract surgery in my future. The "grey" is starting to become noticeable in one eye. Don't cha just love this part of gettin' old! I don't drive at night for this reason alone!

Yes! I hate those blue lights! They are far too bright; glad to hear someone else feels the same.

But don't discount the fact that many drive with their bright lights on also. And you don't just love the vehicles with four lights?

Yes they do bother me a lot. My friend had lazer surgery and they are the only lights he can use at night to see. But I still hate to meet them on the road.

Those lights are terrible especially if it's raining. I try to limit my driving time after dark.
