What makes you a good person?

I know that I am not ALWAYS a good person, but I DO try.
I think one of the things that makes me a good person is that I genuinely care about other people and their feelings and I try to treat others as I would like to be treated...so that means a lot of things.
It means that I try to treat everyone, no matter who they are, where they live or what they look like, with dignity and respect. It also means that although I can get silly (and sometimes go overboard with it) I am not too proud to apologize when I know that I have upset someone.

My pure heart and spirit? I think I am a good person - mostly ;) - but there is room for improvement. Sometimes I have done the right thing - sometimes I was too stupid, or too selfish or too afraid and I didn't - those I bitterly regret and would change if I could (I suppose most of us have a few of those). But there is no reset button in real life so all I can do is try and learn from my mistakes and do better now. I do care and I make an effort to help others and to improve the world by giving my time and effort (and money when I can afford it) - I know I could do a lot more than I do, but hopefully the bit I do counts for something.

I guess what I am saying is through experience I have come to believe that although it is good to be compassionate, tolerant, loving, moral, kind, etc., it is even better to take those qualities and make an unselfish effort to use them to help others (and not just your family) and to make the world a better place. Give 1 hour a week, even 1 hour a month - volunteer for your favorite charity, read to hospital patients, volunteer for a literacy program, volunteer for a food drive, volunteer for one.org and/or greenpeace, volunteer at the animal shelter, volunteer for park cleanup (bring your kids - it will do them good!), whatever - what are your skills? How could you help? "Be the change you want to see in the world."

I try hard to do the right thing and prevent anybody from suffering but that isn't possible. I'll do nothing bad to anybody who is kind and decent and if I can help somebody who has done wrong to change their ways, I will.

I try to help the innocent and the vulnerable. I try to always do the right thing and that does include standing up to bullies, harrassers and all those nasty people we meet on a daily basis. I try to stand up against political brainwashing and give people the truth.

I'll take on the world if the world is wrong.......and it is.

I don't know that I am a good person but I hate to see human beings treating each other badly. There is no excuse for it.

I don't get involved in gossip or turn a blind eye to cruelty.

I still live in the real world though and have to live wth the same challenges as anybody else. I still make mistakes and say things that may hurt other peoples feelings.

Maybe if you met me, you might encounter a different side of me. We never know what impression strangers get of us.

your honest, your trust, your Love for life, your careness for people and yourself,if you cry, if you dont let little things brother you, allways try to be patients,compassion for the old and young. and I feel am a good person becuz, it was the hardness thing I could of done in my life. and thats "I forgive the man who murder my son 3yr 3mos ago. and till this very day. I want nothing,but to find a way to go visit him in prison and to let him know. he meant not care, or remember, or even want to see me. but in my heart and soul, i forgive him the very last day of my son trial. and from that day on. I been still crying hurting,sad,etc,etc.it really dosent matter if he knows or not. but I feel am a VERY GOOD PERSON to myself,my sons,my family,friends, and mostly TO MY BELOVED SON EDDIE HIS MEMORY IS ALIVE INSIDE ME.and nobody could ever take that away from me.. see you my dear friend Baby,Baby :)

I am kind hearted and I love to help out someone in need. I am also honest and keep most of my promises unless something happens, of course. I live my life with integrity and honor with a strong belief in God and Jesus
