First of all, sweetie, we ain't on daylight savings time and second of all if you move to south Florida, you will be right at home with all the retired New York/New Jersey retirees.

There are A LOT of transplants from New Jersey and the whole northeast in San Diego and southern CA. Florida also has a big population of people from up there. So I'd go with either of those two places so in case you do have some trouble adjusting you won't have a hard time meeting some fellow NJ transplants.
San Diego has the best weather in the country and if you live close to the coast it is never too hot or too cold. Right now it's the coldest time of year and has been getting down to around 45 at night, chilly but that's the worst it gets really and that's only at night. During the day it's always at least in the 60's or warmer. Very sunny much of the year and doesn't rain that often. Florida is nice to much very humid and hot in summer plus all the rain and storms.

Not that we need or have room for 1 more person, but Austin, TX is a great warm place. It's in the hill country surrounded by lakes , a short drive to the coast and there are 3 pools, 1 spring fed, that are open year round. Yes, it has been warm enough at Christmas to swim. The music scene is the best - maybe that's why they call us the music capitol of the world. There are so many transplants here you would fit right in. I came from the East Coast in the 70s and I'm still here!

San Diego is a long ways from New Jersey...but it fits the bill for a warm place. San Diego is known for its mild year round temperatures. It doesn't get too cold in the winter or too hot in the summer.

in case you opt for someplace heat flow to Florida. California does have a wintry climate season. at a similar time as maximum coastal inhabitants centers hardly get snow it nonetheless gets extremely chilly in the wintry climate, extremely the northern element. Watch a number of this years Rose Parade from "sunny" southern California. despite the fact that the sunlight is out you will see that anybody is bundled up of their heavy wintry climate coats because of the fact the temperature is possibly in the intense 30's / low 40's. that would sound like short sleeve climate to you presently, yet after your first wintry climate right here you will freeze here 3 hundred and sixty 5 days in simple terms like a number of of something individuals. additionally evaluate that California has the 2d maximum unemployment fee in the rustic. Jobs are very nearly non existent. at a similar time as wellbeing care workers at the instant are not as affected as different careers nonetheless it would desire to take months for you in looking a job. in case you do come right here convey a good number of money to proceed to exist, and an open ended around holiday cost tag for while the money runs out.

I'd say Santa Fe or Albuquerque or Los Cruces, New Mexico or Tuscon, or Flagstaff, Arizona or the San Diego area.
