Sharpton first gained national attention in 1987 when he supported Tawana Brawley, a 15-year-old black girl, who claimed she was gang raped by 6 white men, some of them cops, in the village of Wappingers Falls, New York. She fabricated the whole story, but Sharpton supported her till the end of the case. And he has never apologized for his involvment in the case. That was the beginning of his career, & hopefully this will be the end.

Rev. Al Sharpton is at the center of a federal investigation. The FBI & IRS want Sharpton's financial records dating back to 2001. The agencies' officials say they want to know whether Sharpton incorrectly stated the amount of money he raised during his 2004 presidential campaign. Officials are specifically investigating whether he fudged the figures in order to illegally obtain federal matching funds. Federal officials are also investigating claims of tax fraud, including whether Sharpton mixed funds from his non-profit group, National Action Network, with several of his "for-profit" ventures. As many as 10 of Sharpton's friends & employees have been subpoenaed; however Sharpton has not.

The only career he has is to turn ever single issue into a race issue.. So his career won't be harmed as he's nothing but a loud mouth hypocrit who wants the races to fight so he has a job and can look important.. He's a joke.

When the sound byte started I started counting in my head:

"one....two....three....four...."

12 seconds into the soundbyte Al said "My people have nothing to hide. My people have come under these types of attacks for 200 years..."

My personal "over/under" for how long it would take him to make this a racial issue was 20 seconds.....so I must be slipping...
