Confront them but don't attack. If anything it will make you feel better. Like I have told my brother and sister who have recently had problems, high school is such a small world. I could tell you not to worry about it and not talk to them but that is not the way to handle it. I would also take a close look and see who your friends really are. You may be putting too much energy in these friends that are making you feel bad and not considering those that you feel good with. Say your peace and let things take their course. Real friends will understand. Please do not fret over this. After you graduate you will be thrown into the big world and High School will be nothing but a faint memory and will probably not determine who you are in the real world. Be happy, do well in your classes and have fun (safe fun!) with the people that make you feel good. It's just one of these things we all go through in High School. Trust me, it happened to me and everything turned out O.K.

Man I know what you are going through. I just went through it a couple years ago. My best advice that you have probly heard a million times is to just treat people the way you want to be treated. It works pretty good. If you are nice people tend to be nice back. It doesnts always woek but thats what worked best for me.
Also, dont talk behind their backs either cause someone will tell them so they will want to talk about you too. I know you probly dont want to do this but if you get involved in other things you can expand our friend horizian. That doesnt mean you have to stop being friends with the ones you have now. Keep trying!!! It DOES get better!!! Trust me I just went through it. Hope this helped!!

talking about friends behind their backs is very, very common, and i know how it feels (i just finished 9th grade). i also had a friend who does exactly what you were saying about being a biatch and if you tell them what you think, then they deny it.
i got so sick of it and i figured that it wasnt worth trying to change her and i couldnt put up with it anymore, so i just told her exactly what i thought of her, told her i didnt want to talk to her again, and i havent since then.

basically, just dont be friends with them anymore. find friends that dont make you feel angry or upset you.

Find some friends that are worth being called BEST friends. If you really like someone enough to be a "friend" let alone a "best friend" you should all respect each other...not treat each other like crap and make each other feel like sh*t

Well, you should talk to both of your friends at the same time and ask them why they've been saying you have an attitude. Good luck with that!

There are plenty people out there who would love to be your friend. The ones you describe don't sound like they are worth all the grief! Find new people to be best friends with.
