I have had these little white patches in the back of mt thoart for days it hurts really bad when i swallow. I dont like going to the doctor. What do you think it could be??

You need to Go TO A DOCTOR. White spots are a sign of infection and if it isn't treated it will get much worse. (I'd guess that it's strep)

It is either strep throat (you need to go to the doctor) or throat ulcers (you still need to go to the doctor).
Go to the doctor. Get over it. Nothing you can do at home will fix this, but antibiotics will. Be an adult and get this fixed before you infect someone else.
I had throat ulcers ages ago, and the doctor prescribed 'the cannon', which was three horrible drugs, an antibiotic, antifungal, and something else, and that was the only thing that got rid of it. Took about a week.

Hi, Do you have a sore throat? Sometimes when we get an infection in our throat,your tongue will have white patches,and have an awful taste. Rinse you throat out with very warm salt water,and repeat every 2 to 3 hours. This will help alot with the infection. Clowmy

It could be strep, mono or tonsillitis,which all can go away on its own.
If you gargle with warm water and salt a couple of times a day,drink hot white tea,it has the most antioxidants, an occasional spoon of honey will sooth your throat and get as much rest as you can and it still doesn't go away,you may have to resort to going to the Doctor for anti biotics.

Sounds like an infection. A common problem this time of year. Maybe you need an antibiotic. You can get OTC meds to ease the throat pain, but won't heal the infection. Better see the doc to make sure.

It could be strep throat. Whether you like it or not, you're going to have to go to the doctor to get your throat swabbed to see if you have strep and he'll prescribe an antibiotic. Strep is contagious and it won't get better until you've taken the antibiotic.

You have strep throat and you NEED TO GO TO THE DOCTOR.
They'll give you penicillian (usually) and your throat will clear up in a matter of hours!
Strep throat is considered deadly.

Tonsillitis or strep - sorry, you really need to see a doctor. Either, left untreated, could result in serious complications.

Most likely strep throat. You have to go to the doc, it is a bacterial infection.

my mom had the same thing a few weeks ago. Its just strep throat. relax; its nothing to worry about. just get some antibiotics and you'll be fine.
