Dear God, I hope so. I'm a Michigan grad and he is the best candidate from those that have been mentioned.. We need a serious overhaul and his system is new and fresh. We might finally get a moblie QB in there which we've never had. Get away from that old school boring mentality that's been there far too long.

I was a lot more confident in this theory before this Rich Rodriguez business starting floating around all over the place,
but I still think Michigan will announce their new head coach on Jan. 9th, giving Miles the courtesy of preventing a distraction while he tries to win a national championship. He and his people were in contact with UM's people AFTER he signed his mega-deal with LSU. He told the media he was just trying to help them with their coaching search, by saying he wants to be the next coach. Honestly, would a man preparing for a national championship game call up his alma mater just to help them find a new coach? Hell no! Every day that goes by without UM announcing a new head coach, is a day closer to Les Miles taking the reins.

Michigan can't play the arrogant hardball with the salary or the AD may be begging Carr to get back on the sidelines. And - because of recruiting - there cannot be this void until the new year. Ron English may ultimately be the head coach if U of M tries for a Big Ten discount when talking contract to established BCS Conference head coaches.

I read this too. It would be good for Michigan. If he can win at WVU then you know he could win at Michigan. OSU fans would be upset if he is hired I tell you that.

Hey, Jake(77) is my cousin! Bigger question for us is where will he be next year. Don't know about the coach, though, I hope they get a good one.
