um no. think about it. if theres 30 days until a giant comet hits and wipes out most of the population dont u think u would have heard about it somewhere besides the history channel? maybe some place like, o idk, the news?
the comet you are refering to is apophis, which some people thought would hit us in 30 YEARS, not days. all recent evidence shows that it wont hit us at all.

As others said, it's totally wrong. But it doesn't surprise me that you saw it on the History channel. It has gotten to the point where that channel has about the same credibility as the Weekly World News. It's video rag. Bunk.
Too bad, because occasionally they run a legitimate program, but how can anyone judge the reliability of anything they air, given the ridiculous garbage they can't seem to resist promoting? I personally hope the station loses all its legitimate business to PBS and has to shut down for good. One less irresponsible, unethical business on the air.

It must have been on a science fiction channel, or you didn't hear it right. If this were true, it would be on the news 24 hours a day. If it was on a history channel, it was a scenario of what could happen.

You were probably watching, "It could happen tomorrow"...
I think one of them covered an impact by a comet.
