I have got the baby think it over from school. When it cries as it wants the nappy change, the sensor on the nappies does not work. I cannot seem to get the doll to stop crying and it then starts screaming. HELP!!! I am trying everything as it is not registering a nappy change therefore it is counting it as a neglect.

PLEASE HELP!!

Also, since i have had it, it has not been able to acknowledge a nappy change. I have also not been able to stop it screaming before it counts it as a neglection.

hey hun, I had basically the same problem...calmly follow the steps bellow:

1) Make sure you "chime" the id. do this by swiping baby id over stomach or back, chime should sound
2) gently take off the nappy making sure the babies head is supported
3) pick up the other nappy, make sure the coloured part of the sensor is on the INSIDE and then attach the velcro around the baby
4)baby should coo to tell you that you have correctly put the nappy on

If baby doesnt coo, it could be a technical fault with the baby or it may not be the nappy that needs changing.

I got 96% on mine and its nappy only need changing 5 times in the day...try other things because the dolls can be fussy and can cry for up to 1hour for no reason just because it wants attension

Hope this helps you, hope your score is high, if you have msn add me... abi198@live.co.uk x x

Never forget this, babies don't turn off. I would say go through all the steps you were told to take care of it to see if it is something else. Maybe call a friend from class to see how theirs is working. Then if it is broke on Monday take it to the teacher. Sorry, never had a baby think it over.
Found all sorts of web sites for this doll...said it can need some care that takes up to thirty five minutes, maybe it just still needs something. Try looking up info on the doll. Here is one site...

I will look up some more, really caught my attention.

I hated those damn things when I was in high school. That thing cried way more than my son does. I had the kind where everytime it cried you'd have to hold a key in it's back and hold it there for like 10 min. It taught me NOTHING about babies. When a real baby cries you can't just stick a key in it. Try wrapping it up and rocking it, that usually works with those dolls.

Those are an amazing invention...

That's what you're supposed to learn... babies need way more than a nappie change every once in a while. And most of the time, you have no idea howto make them happy.

Well, it is up to you to figure what is wrong with it. Sometimes those dolls cry.... same with real babies!

Maybe the doll doesn't need a diaper change, try feeding it or rocking it. I remember having to rock the doll a lot when i took it home. Maybe it needs to be burped...

Try to dance with it. I bet the sensor is not broken- it's the way it works. Sometimes you have no idea how to make a baby happy. I'd make a sling out of a pillowcase or a sheet if I were you and wear it all weekend.

Good luck!

Call the teacher and see what they think.

Take it back to your school if its not working properly!

However I agree with other posters, welcome to motherhood. Sometimes babies scream for no reason, for hours and hours - its called Colic. Baby Think it Over is easy compared to a REAL baby!
