Hitting and Pitching Records accomplished the same years that Major League Baseball accepted Expansion Teams should carry the asterisk.
In 1961 the American League expanded, added two teams, Roger Maris breaks Babe Ruths single season Home Run Record.
In 1998 the Major Leagues expanded to 30 teams, In 1988 McGwire and Sosa both broke Maris record.
It wasn't Performance Enhancing Drugs, it was diluting the Strength of Major League Talent. Since 1961 Baseball has gone from 16 Teams to 30.
Just think in 1960 nearly half the Major Leaguers Today would not have made the cut.
Lay the blame on the owners!

It's time to move on. It will be known as the steroid era and be compared to itself, just like ever other era in baseball is. Just move on.

if we just moved on then the players that don't use anything would be getting punished instead of the people that cheated.

Not really... You can't escape the fact that they cheated... And not ALL the hitters and pitchers were juiced... hopefully...

Yes (sort of), but logic and rational thinking don't influence lynch mobs (except maybe to enrage them further).
