There are pre-made elevators that custom cabinet makers use for that job. When you push a button the TV rises up out of the cabinet. No moving doors are required.

Look in the Rockler Woodworker Professional catalog or find that online.

a motorized hinge will not help with a sliding door. sliding doors do not have hinges. a large servo motor would work for a hinged door. you will need a more complex system for a sliding door. it really isn't something that can be explained here all that well. there are pre made automatic door systems available but you will have to have a mighty big bag of pennies to buy one.

Smiles, what a neat toy.

I do have a suggestion.

If I wanted such, I might investigate companies that create appliances, etc. for the disabled.

Just my two cents.
