The weather

2007-12-14 09:36:25 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 2 0

I love your optimism! Your Q implies that I have control over SOMEthing...! Thanks!
The thing I would MOST like to be able to control, and clearly cannot : our WEATHER!
I live in Arizona, and I really, REALLY don't like too hot! At all. On the plus side: I've learned that the greater the degree of certainty with which the forecasters here (morons) predict ours; the more certain it is to do exactly the opposite!
Ergo... NO CHANCE of rain translates to DOWNPOUR TO ARRIVE SHORTLY!!
Apparently, whatever IS in charge of the weather waits 'til our numbskulls opine, and then says "Oh, yeah? Watch this!" }:>

In general or personal? In general it's people. We have no control over people, besides our kids untill they reach 18. I think it's control issues around the world that make most people do the crazy things we do. I used to have huge control issues, but over the years I realized I inherited that from my mom, she still suffers, me, I let God take over, he does a better job and it's way less stress on me. lol

My emotions. When something makes me laugh or cry or feel happy or sad, I feel like I have no control over how I feel. I think that's why I go through a lot of ups and downs. They take over my life sometimes.

I have no control over the Bush Administration nor the Iraq War. I have no control in being able to arrest Bush for being a criminal by lying to us by telling us that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. He is such a liar and he is guilty of all those young soldiers dying for a lie. I have no control over who is in the Bush Administration, but I know what I know and I know a lot of people know that that administration is corrupt and illegal and I have no control over anything that Bush does or has done which is doing nothing but making lots and lots of money over that war in Iraq.

Aging......

I think people here got it all wrong giving death as the answer. Obviously it is unavoidable, but we do have control over it to a degree. People who commit suicide are in total control of their death. People who volunteer for wars are pretty much in control of death...they know they are raising the risk factor.

Aging...you can't stop until you die. From the moment your born, you start to get old!!!

The fact that I am getting divorced. I may have some say in the particulars of it, but not about it happening. While it takes two to build a relationship, it only takes one to tear it down.
