I've never been jealous. I can't see a point to it.. You can't change a persons ability to cheat or posses what other people have, so not worth the energy to be jealous. If a person wants to cheat however i won't wait around.

I will admit it in a heart beat, YES I am a jealous type person. I have a good reason for it too. You can call me insecure if you want, but in my case it has nothing to do with being insecure at all.

I am a very old fashion type gal and I firmly believe in when you are with someone, then you should not have interest in the opposite sex what so ever. Yes you can have friends, that is fine, but you had better let your mate know about that person. Not only that, there is no reason what so ever to be out with some one of the opposite sex when you have some one at home.

If you go to town by your self and run into a friend you know, talk to them that is cool, BUT when you get home, tell your mate.

Like I say I am old fashion, this is the way that I am, sorry. I am not hard to get alone with at all. It is just that every man that I have ever had in my life has cheated on me. So yes it has made me a very jealous type person, guess that is why I live alone now, at least I don't have to deal with a cheating mate anymore.

Yep I know a lot of people are going to more than likely disagree with me on this, but hey I can thank the men that I have had in my life for this. It was their lose not mine.

Because you are asking others what they do to not be so jealous makes me believe that you are sincere about trying to work on it. I'm sure you will receive a lot of helpful hints. I believe that jealousy stems from our own insecurities. Unnecessary jealousy is also the root cause of much unhappiness interpersonally and in the world. I think that jealousy is specific to certain situations and circumstances. Because one is jealous about someone or something in one situation does not mean jealousy in all situations. I think you have to figure out what specific things make you jealous and then introspect about that particular area of your life. Also, jealousy can be a normal emotion. It can be quite uncomfortable, but it is how we react to that emotion that determines whether it is pathological or not. Personally, I try to use the emotion to motivate me in positive ways to be better person. If it is clear that the emotion cannot be turned into something good, I try to steer clear of the situation or person. Conversely, if I feel someone is jealous of me, for whatever reason, I try to make that person feel their own talents. If I can't and feel the jealousy is a destructive force in our relationship, I steer clear of that person as well. Finally, I like to use humor in coping with negative emotions. If I feel the dark side of jealousy, I will shout, "I am jealous." People are so taken aback with this outburst, it lightens the mood. I wish you the best.

No, I've never been. I was married to a very jealous person though. No fun at all and you'll notice that I said 'was.'

Some people view a jealous partner as a compliment but to me it was annoying especially since he had no reason to be jealous.

I don't have any reason to be jealous. My partner and I have had many a talk about our trust in each other. We have come to the conclusion that this relationship will last a very long time. I can go out to a bar with my friends and drink, come home and still get a beautiful kiss from my dark angel. Vice versa for him.

He has girlfriends, I have guyfriends. I have no problem with it, and he has no problem with me having friends that are guys. I've seen a good friend of his, who is a girl, kiss him on the cheek, and I had no idea who she was. I had no feeling of jealousy because I know he loves me.

Nope not a jealous person....but can get hurt easily if the one I care for extends his most precious interactions to another...I dislike drama and 'acting out' and being suspicious so that has not been a major issue with me over the years.

Not a jealous bone in this body. If they want someone else they know where the door is. And I change the locks.

No I am not.

I can't imagine my wife doing anything that would make me jealous. She can disappoint me, she can kick me to the curb. If she doesn't want me, it will be her loss (mine, too, but that's not jealousy).

My job takes me away from home for 7 days at a time. Jealousy would not fit in very well.
