Either of those experiences happens to some people.
Why? When they passed away, went to heaven, they had a choice between remaining in heaven becoming an eternal living, or becoming an eternal living in the clouds between heaven and earth, or being reincarnated or if they felt they weren't ready to leave their earthly life, then they could ask for a second chance at their life on earth or if they have a lot to learn then they are sent back to earth back as themselves and the memory of them dying never happened or they are sent back as themselives but with another identity, maybe even help that person and/or have an opportunity to live that person life as a challenge to see what the outcome would be.

Eternal life yes. Reincarnation no. I hate the idea that i could be a maggot in my next life if i am bad. We have lots of bad people in the world today which means that they used to be very good butterflies or something but are now bad people and may eventually end up as maggots.Confusing isn't it.

Sometimes when I have deja vu, I feel there is something to reincarnation. I had a close call once, I don't know how bad because I blacked out, but the doctors say near death, but all that I experienced was nothingness. So I will have to wait to find out if there is more than this.

I believe we each have a choice. We can either retire to our own area, whichever you may believe in, like a link of different planes of existence could be possible. If you choose to, i believe you may be reincarnated, either physically or spiritually, hence why there is belief in spirit guides.
Kind of like enlightenment. If you believe you are enlightened, then you may not wish to be physically reborn, but may want the opportunity to help others find their way.
I generally believe anything is possible until i have seen it proven otherwise. After all, it was long ago science was having people executed for 'heretical claims' only for them to realise it to be true centuries down the line. What is it that we have possibly got wrong in this day and age that will be mocked in the future?

Yes, I do believe in reincarnation, and have for a long time. I believe that most of us has lived before in other lifetimes, and we learn from each of them, and try to perfect ourselves till we get to our last life here. Have you ever read the books written by Sylvia Browne? I love her books and her outlook on life and the afterlife as well!

Yeah, I totally believe in it. There's this really old house that my mom says EVERY time she walks by it it's like she gets deja vu and chills running up her spine, like she's been inside or even lived in it before, even though she never has. Have you ever heard people call Michael Jackson an old soul? It's because how can a little 5 or 6 year old boy dance and sing his *** off without ever learning or him having no knowledge of how or why he knows how to do all that stuff? Because it's been considered that he has learned how to dance and sing in past lives.

Ultimately, I don't think we can ever really know the "truth". I think it is very subjective. People have different experiences they swear by and that is where they are coming from. As life goes on, our perspectives on that experience may or may not change. So, It doesn't matter much what I think, because it can change and may not be the "truth" anyway.

I vividly remember writing an essay at school many many years ago on re-incarnation, after that I really believed it could happen.
I have times when I look out of a window, and I just know that I've already seen what I'm looking at before in a dream!
