Nothing, Snow thrower is the more correct term.

In a snow thrower the auger in the front spins faster and throws the snow out the discharge chute.
A snow blower usually has a slower spinning auger that feeds the snow into a faster spinning impeller that blows the snow out of the discharge chute.
