Are they a young team with a lot of potential or same old non-contenders?

they have a great team and i'm not a big fan of that team.They only just got havlat back about 7 games ago.He was out since opening day.Jason williams another good vet is out with a groin.When he gets back it will help them bigtime on the power play .--I am not a big fan of their goaltending they can be scored on.But they have the guns now to outscore and thats the key, they have that this year as opposed to the past years.

There's no doubt this team has tremendous potential. The Hawks have found the right mix of young talent and veteran leadership, and it's doing great things for them.

The Blackhawks may be able to slip into the playoffs as the 7th or 8th seed.

I would rate them just above average.

Last years Pens of the West Young team with some skill but could still be improved to be an actual playoff contender

potential to the degree that could be dangerous. look at how they play the red wings after all no other team in the league so far has had the same level of success. be interesting to see how they close out the season. 7th or 8th seed isn't a fantasy, but will take work

Obviously, they have made a lot of progress and the future looks a lot brighter.

But I have a feeling they are going to fade in the second half and miss the playoffs.
